This is a great price for these refrigerator water filters. I checked all over town and couldn't find this particular filter at any store other than Sear's. It was less expensive here, and it was a real Amana filter for our Amana refrigerator, not a Kenmore or other brand. You can really save by buying three at a time.
The price for this filter, in my opinion, is expensive. Don't understand why it has to be so expensive if Amana expect you to purchase 2 a year. I try to make it last longer than the 6 months recommended. My refrigerator water system begins to slow its flow after about 8 months but I hang on until approx. 12 months before changing out. Of course if it was cheaper then I would change out at recommended time frame.
I ordered this this filter with the correct item number and received a completely different one filter that did not fit. I had to go through the trouble of sending it back and I still don't have a filter. I'm afraid that if I re-order it, they will send the wrong one again. So, I am going to try another source. This is unlike Amazon, usually I get what I order. Right now I am very disappointed.
we've had out fridge for over 10 years now and it uses this type of filter. You can really notice the difference once a new filter has been placed. Ten years, replacing it every six months...so Amana...you should send me a freebie soon for being a loyal customer.

The water is conveniently dispensed, and it tastes good! It changes our water from tasting like the bottom of the lake to tasting nice and refreshing!
